How does a picnic booking work?
We set up your picnic of choice and have it ready upon arrival. We will be at the site to greet you and make sure nobody else decides to have your picnic! Once you arrive, we leave you to enjoy your experience for the reserved time.
Are there specific locations for your picnic set ups?
Our picnics can be set up anywhere around Jacksonville, whether it be a private location (e.g. your house or backyard) or a public location (e.g. a park or a beach). We have a list of preferred locations, but we are happy to accommodate any specific requests to the greatest extent possible. **Picnics outside of Jacksonville, Florida may be accomodated with an additional travel fee**
How does payment work?
To secure your picnic, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid at least 72 hours before your scheduled picnic.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We typically require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for a booking, however please note that we have often have limited availability on our calendar so early booking is recommended. Depending on availability, we may be able to accommodate last minute bookings.
What if it rains?
Unfortunately, we cannot refund bookings due to bad weather. If it rains, we will try to accommodate last minute location changes (e.g. to a sheltered area/indoor location) or you may reschedule your picnic for another date within a two month period
What if I need to reschedule my picnic due to another circumstance?
If you wish to reschedule due to other circumstances, we will require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice and must be approved by River City Picnics.
Can I provide my own food?
Food is included with all picnic packages but you are more than welcome to bring your own additional food and beverages.
What happens if I show up late?
We understand that despite your best plans, life happens. Therefore, we offer a 15-minute grace period.
Can we leave whenever we want?
If you would like to leave earlier than the arranged time, please provide us a thirty min notice via phone call or text. You are responsible for the picnic items until we return and pack up.
Do we have to clean up when we are done?
Absolutely Not! River City Picnics will take care of all set up and clean up. You simply show up and enjoy.
How are all utensils, cups, etc. sterilized?
All utensils, plates, and glasses are sterilized by employees with gloves on. They are thoroughly washed with warm water and soap to ensure cleanliness. Gloves will always be worn when handling these items.
Are gift vouchers available?
They certainly are! Gift vouchers can be purchased for any dollar value over $50 USD. Purchasers will receive a digital gift voucher via email to gift to the recipient. Send us an email to order your gift voucher! All gift vouchers are valid for 1 year. No extensions are available, and vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
